Friday 22nd March 2024, Cadet Sergeant Major Shannon Bullock was appointed Melksham Mayor’s Cadets Award.

Shannon was recognised for her ‘outstanding year’ where she has attended every community event

During the evening, Individuals and groups in Melksham who made a significant contribution to the community over the past year were honoured with Civic Awards at the Mayor’s Reception, at Melksham Assembly Hall. Representatives were welcomed by the Mayor of Melksham, cllr Simon Crundell.

The Melksham Civic Awards were presented by Melksham’s mayoress, Rose Hoskins, who presented 16 awards across four categories: the Achievement Award, the Community Award, the Enhancing Melksham Award and the Mayor’s Cadets Award.

Staff Cadet Appointment

To add to her impressive achievement, Shannon has now also been appointed as Staff Cadet Sergeant Major.

On their first day back after the Easter Holidays, Melksham Detachment with the DC, Staff Sergeant Instructor (SSI) Andy Philp held an unveiling of the King Charles III portrait ceremony.

Also in attendance was Wiltshire ACF Commandant, Colonel Britt Haggerty who appointed Shannon as Staff Cadet Sergeant Major and presented her rank slide.
