On the first day of Annual Camp, the Commandant Colonel Britt Haggerty promoted and appointed the new Cadet RSM.

Cdt RSM Matthew Yuill is from Warminster Detachment, Juno Company.

He has been a Cadet since January 2019. Throughout his time as a cadet, he has attended and completed the Junior Cadet Instructor Cadre (JCIC) in Feb 2022, Senior Cadet Instructor Cadre (SCIC) in Oct 2022, DofE Bronze/ ACS21 Expedition in May 2022, Army Cadet D-Day 75 in May 2019, Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) in May 2022 and many many more activities.

On talking with the RSM I asked him what he would like to achieve during his time as Wiltshire ACF's Cadet RSM. His main objective is for the Cdt RSM to be more visible outside the Company.

On appointment to the Cadet RSM, he also received the cane from RSMI Hearn.

The donation of the cane from The Rifles, to the County, is a significant event in the history of the County. It is even more interesting to know that his father, Major (Retd) R K Yuill, played a role in its issuing and presentation, Which is a fascinating piece of history

Cdt RSM Yuill intends to join the Army and has aspirations to attend The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) as an Officer Cadet.

We wish you success and good luck in your new role.
