The county has recently run some parachuting expeditions where cadets took part in Static line and tandem jumps. They did this to raise funds to support the Yorkshire Cadet Trust. The YCT has offered a great deal of support to Cadets from the county to engage in experiences they would otherwise be unable to afford. This has included support for overseas visits to Germany and Cyprus as well as skiing and walking expeditions.

Colonel Fred Owen; Commandant. presented the cheque for two thousand pounds to Colonel Jason Wright Chief Executive Reserve Forces and Cadets Association (RFCA) for Yorkshire and the Humber.

Colonel Owen, Commandant, said: "It is an absolute delight to be able to present this cheque to the Yorkshire Cadet Trust (YCT) for £2000. As a Trustee I see the impact it has on this lives of Cadets throughout Yorkshire, in an equitable way. In the past 10 years the Trust has enabled young people from Yorkshire to access Cadet activities both in the UK and abroad, many of whom would never get the opportunity. I am glad that that Humberside and South Yorkshire Army Cadet Force can give something back. The YCT is administered by the RFCA for Yorkshire and the Humber and would welcome donations"
