On Thursday 22 September 2022. The Army held its Army Engagement Event at Trowbridge Town Civic Centre.
Here the general public learns more about what our military does in the local community. Lots of great discussions on employment prospects for young people and also support for veterans once they leave the forces.
Wiltshire Army Cadet Force was also in attendance with a stand, manned by our Cadets and Adults. The County Corps of Drums and Bugles carried out a Static Display including a Fanfare in order to begin the preceding.
Many praiseworthy comments were made to Col Britt Haggerty from Comd South West and guests for Our Cadets and Instructors involved.
Col Haggerty said "After the presentation, I spoke to a number of people, including employers who were keen to engage regarding apprenticeship opportunities for our cadets. Having given out my contact details, I have received 1 email already, regarding our event that we plan to hold during the February half term, for employers and cadets. Thank you again for your contribution to our participation in the event."
