Capt Carol Maison, the Assistant County Training Officer and newly appointed OC of Gold Company said ”35 cadets attended, participated fully, high level of adherence to core values, delivered great lessons with many great ideas on how to make the delivery fun for cadets.

We also celebrated a 16th Birthday (Cpl Rice), had a Padre's palace running in the evenings, and had a quiz night on the last night hosted by Colonel Haggerty and Padres.

The training staff were fantastic. We had some experienced staff as well as some new to JCIC - all worked really hard and provided a great week for the cadets.

We were visited by RSMI Hearn, Col Britt Haggerty, Company Training Officers, and some Detachment Commanders

All in all a very enjoyable week for the staff and our cadets.”.

JUNIOR CADET INSTRUCTORS CADRE (JCIC)

The Junior Cadet Instructor Cadre (JCIC) is an integral part of 3-Star training and all cadets at this level take the course. It is designed to teach the cadet how to instruct new entrants and 1-Star cadets in Drill and Turnout and military knowledge, navigation, skill-at-arms, and fieldcraft.

The JCIC has two purposes. Firstly it initiates the senior cadet into the techniques of instruction; and secondly, it assesses the cadet’s ability as a potential instructor, with particular reference to his or her possible selection to undertake the Senior Cadet Instructors Cadre at 4-Star level.

The Junior Cadet Instructor Course is an intensive training program crafted to prepare cadets for instructional positions within the ACF. It encompasses a variety of subjects, such as instructional methods.

Wiltshire ACF remains dedicated to offering valuable opportunities for its cadets to enhance leadership abilities, self-discipline, and a sense of accountability. The completion of the Junior Cadet Instructor Course by these cadets highlights the organization's dedication to fostering the next generation of community leaders. As these young cadets embrace their new responsibilities, they embody the core values instilled by the ACF. Their accomplishments serve as proof of the positive influence that youth development programs like the ACF can have on the lives of young individuals, equipping them for success in both military and civilian spheres.
