Basic Signals Course

Over the past week Cadets from across Dorset have been partaking in the latest County Virtual Training - Over the two ‘Parade Nights’ they studied and undertook online, interactive training before undertaking the Basic Cadet Signals assessment. Where just under 30 cadets were successful in attaining a pass.

County Signals Officer, SSI S Jackson, said: “I am so pleased that so many Cadets took this opportunity to start their CIS journey.

These are exciting times with Mercury radios and the new Cyber syllabus for the cadets in the Signals APC syllabus.

With cadet signals now part of the compulsory APC syllabus up to 1 star, these cadets have taken the first step on the ladder, and with nearly 30 cadets taking the opportunity and getting their Certificate, times are looking bright again in the County with the up and coming signallers.

I am immensely proud of all the efforts of Cadets in signing up and gaining their basic award well done to all.”
