Today saw the final servings by contract caterer Graham Turnbull who has finally retired after many, many years of dishing it out and camps and locations across the UK and Germany.
Graham started with the MOD in Brawdy before moving through the numerous outsourced catering companies over the last 20 plus years nearly 40 years in total.
Graham with his catchphrase of “do want beans with that son” has been visiting Clwyd and Gwynedd for many years and today’s lunch service for Crecy Company in Kinmel Park Camp was his final serving.
To mark the occasion Charlie Lloyd, Crecy Company Commander, arranged for a very special cake, crafted by Iona LeCra wife of Major Will LeCra, which was presented to Graham on Saturday evening.
Graham said “it has been a great job, well most of the time, and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the cadets and adults over the years. It’s been fascinating to see young short cadets grow over the years and now to see many as adult instructors” adding “the cake was fantastic thank you all very much”.
Everyone in Clwyd and Gwynedd – past and present – sends their thanks to Graham and wishes him well in his retirement.
