On Saturday 23rd April, cadet football teams from accross the region travelled to Colchester for the Regional Competition. They included three Cambridgeshire teams, Junior Boys, Senior Boys, and Senior Girls.

The day proved to be a great success, with all the cadets proudly representing their County and enjoying the day. Both senior teams did especially well, with the Senior Boys coming second in their category, however early in the day it became clear that that performance of the Senior Girls was particularly impressive, with them ultimately coming first.

This was a spectacular achievement which has ensured them a place in the National Final. Both our high scoring teams were awarded medals, and all our players could be proud of their own efforts, and that of their fellow Cambridgeshire teammates.

3 Coy Sports Officer SSI Nathan Drummond said: 'I think today has been brilliant. The cadets have enjoyed it, theyve got smiles on their faces, weve seen good team work and good communications skills across the board.'
