Silver navigator awards

Four members of Kent ACF CFAV cohort have completed their NNAS Silver Navigator Award. This qualification will enable them to support the delivery of the new Army Cadet Syllabus (ACS 21) to the Senior Cadet Cohort.

CFAV's Amba Cooper-Morris, Abi Conway, Paul Atkins were led by Colonel Richard Phillips (Kent's Commandant).

Progressing through the three awards will take you from being an absolute map and compass novice right through to be an expert navigator at Gold. The NNAS also runs the Outdoor Discover Award.

The NNAS Navigator Awards (Bronze, Silver and Gold) are accredited by the Scottish Credit & Qualifications Framework (SCQF) at Level 4, 5 and 6 respectively and 2 SCQF credit points are awarded on completion (see our FAQ page for more information).

You don’t, of course, have to start at Bronze, although it expected that you will have completed the Silver award at least before you start a Gold Award course.

Well done all!

It was a really good weekend and I actually learnt a lot, and I will now be able to teach the cadets as well
