It was an emotional last night for Cadet CSjt Ella McAlister as she paraded for the last time before aging out on Wednesday, but she ended her time as a Cadet with a well-deserved promotion to Company Serjeant Major of East (El Alamein) Company.
Company Commander, Major Dom Brooks said: "CSM McAlister has excelled during her time as a Cadet and has achieved many things thanks to her hard work and enthusiasm. Not only has she achieved things within the ACF but also within her community, raising funds for the Royal British Legion, the local food bank, and for the Autism Wessex Charity to name but a few. She has also completed the Ten Tors Challenge, Shot for the County at Bisley, gained several CVQO qualifications, and is still in the running for the delayed 2020 Westminster Award and even as recently as this week won a competition to design the new National ACF Cycling Jersey. " Adding; "If ever there was someone who embodied the Cadet Experience then CSM McAlister is it. It's a privilege to promote her tonight. Well done, and I wish her every success for the future."
