1 year, 1 month and 27 days after the first lockdown in March 2020, C Company's Antrim Detachment re-opened for face-to-face training last night. Captain Dunlop and his team were waiting with a warm welcome for the 15 cadets (3 of whom were new recruits as well as 2 new adult volunteers who came on board over lockdown.
The cadets were delighted to finally be able to catch up in person, back in the detachment after such a long period of time apart. A refresher on drill and turnout was the main focus of the evening to ease everyone gently back into the saddle again. Topping off the night, several cadets are eager to sign up for the joint C & D Coy camp in July.
The next #ccoy1ni detachment to open I will be Ballyclare on Tuesday 25th May, so keep an eye out for more updates coming soon.
