No 1 (Minden) Company provided support for the Cancer Research UK Pretty Muddy and Race for Life events held on Saturday 16 July 2022 and Sunday 17 July 2022.
Cadets and staff from No1 (Minden) Company have a long history of supporting this event held in Heaton Park every year, and this year, despite the hot weather, was no exception, cadets from Bury, Middleton, Radcliffe and Ramsbottom Detachments helped with the warm up before each race, supported and encouraged the runners around the gruelling course and were there at the finish line to hand out medals. There was also a visible recruitment stand where both prospective cadets and adults were given information about what the Cadets is about and how to apply.
As the OC of the Event, it was with a real sense of pride in just how many runners, supporters and organisers came up to me to praise the cadets for their outstanding encouragement to the runners over both days.
