Congratulations to Cadet L/Cpl Boddington-Smith who was this years recipient of the Matty Hull Trophy, awarded last night by the Company Commander Major Wells.
L/Cpl Boddington-Smith over the last year has grown in strength, leadership, confidence and has increasingly gone that extra mile. Showing great coaching and direction as a Cadet NCO coaching the junior cadets along their first few months within their cadet journey.
The Matty Hull trophy is awarded in memory of Matty Hull
he was a cadet at Gillingham and was tragically killed in a blue on blue attack in Iraq.
His family wanted us to be able to continue his memory within the cadet organisation with a very special award.
