Six adult instructors in Clwyd have been honoured by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for their exceptional contributions. The commendations, presented by Henry George Fetherstonhaugh OBE FRAgS, acknowledge their unwavering dedication and exemplary service.
At a ceremony held at Hightown Barracks in Wrexham on Thursday, March 21st, Major Charmaine Lloyd, Sergeant Major Instructor Paul Burrows, and Staff Sergeant Instructor Stephen Davies were presented with the prestigious Lord-Lieutenant’s Certificate of Merit. This recognition underscores their significant impact across Clwyd.
Additionally, the evening celebrated the commitment of members of the Clwyd and Gwynedd Army Cadet Force. Adult Under Officer Bradley Burn and Staff Sergeant Instructor Gareth Griffith were presented with the Cadet Forces Medal, while Captain Merv Jones received the 5th Clasp to his Cadet Forces Medal.
These awards symbolise long-standing and effective service within the UK Cadet Forces, highlighting the dedication of both commissioned officers and non-commissioned adult instructors.
