From SI Ben Wheeler.

I write this post as an ACF Instructor and as a proud father...Boxley’s very own, Sgt Major Danny Wheeler has been promoted to D Company’s Cadet CSM.

Danny is now the senior cadet for over 140+ cadets of D Company. Please join me in congratulating Danny on this phenomenal achievement.

Danny joined cadets at Boxley Road in January 2019 as a very shy, reserved young boy. During his time, he has learned to push himself and achieve things he never knew was possible. He has excelled in his training and blossomed into an inspirational leader, using his own experiences from personal challenges and his training to inspire others.

Danny is a highly respected member at not just Boxley Road and D Company, but also throughout the County. He has represented County on several occasions and has always carried out his duties to the highest level and always made Boxley Road very proud.

Danny epitomises the Cadet Values and is dedicated in supporting other cadets achieve the best they can be.

As his parent and his instructor, who has witnessed Danny’s journey first hand, I saw a shy young boy join cadets and I now see a confident young man standing tall.

I am forever grateful to the ACF for all the wonderful opportunities they have provided him and feel he is in the best possible position to start adulthood.

Speaking to Danny tonight, he said: “When I joined cadets, I always wanted to reach the rank of Sergeant before I finished.... being made Company Sgt Major was beyond my wildest dreams and now I feel I can leave cadets feeling proud of myself “To all the Cadets in this wonderful organisation, I hope you find inspiration in Danny’s journey and realise, whatever your personality or life's challenges, anything is possible and you have the ability to achieve greatness...”

I am forever grateful to the ACF for all the wonderful opportunities they have provided him and feel he is in the best possible position to start adulthood
