Kent Army Cadet Force – Corps of Drums
Kent ACF will be introducing music as a syllabus option from the end of 2023 in the form of a Corps of Drums (Drums, bugle & flute only). There will be one detachment per Company nominated as a music detachment and set up to offer music training and development as well as Basic and One Star Core Military Skills lessons. This will give four hubs across Kent for any interested staff or cadets to get involved.
(note: after one star training, cadets can choose to specialise in music or core military skills or do both).
No experience in music is required at all and we are looking for any staff or cadets that want to know more to come forward and register their interest. Cadets should talk to their DCs and staff should send a completed questionnaire (attached) via email to Captain Hazlewood at 5486hazlew@armymail.mod.uk . This will allow us to make an informed decision about where our music hubs will be located.
Anyone that ends up taking part will need to attend a week-long course from either the 22nd or 28th of October 2023. This will be training for all staff and cadets and be the launching point for training in detachments.
