• International Women’s Day 2021 •
Today, Monday 8th March 2021 please join us in celebrating International Women’s Day, a day in which we celebrate not only our female Army Cadets past and present, but also the women who volunteer and support us.
In the Army Cadet Force it’s your ability that counts, not your gender. Up until the 1980’s, females could not join the ACF, however a trial to introduce female CFAV’s into the organisation was launched in 1978, which was followed by the first female Army Cadets joining in 1979.
Females are instrumental within the ACF and today 32% of our total strength within 2nd (NI) Bn is female, that’s almost 1 in 3 members, which is just fantastic!
