No 5 (Anzio) Company started 2023 running with 16 cadets completing an Institute of Leadership and Management Level 2 Award for Young Leaders delivered by CVQO. The course was delivered by a team of CVQO instructors and hosted at Wigan Army Reserve Centre over a weekend earlier this month.
The cadets developed their own leadership skills and self-confidence through a combination of practical leadership activities and classroom-based theory lessons. The cadets are assessed during the weekend through a combination of written work, observations made by an instructor, peer feedback and self-assessment. Some of the work completed on the ILM now counts towards some of their modules on the BTEC L2 course that some of the cadets are currently doing.
A huge thanks must go to the CVQO instructors Paul, Fiona and Dean for delivering the course, SSI Lloyd for the lunches and SI Redmond for some of pictures.
