Cadets from Heywood Detachment, No 1 (Minden) Company, along with other cadets gave up their weekend to support the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal.
On Saturday and Sunday the Staff and Cadets gave up their weekend to support a great cause and raise much needed funds for Marie Curie’s nurses to continue their valuable work in supporting people with terminal illness.
Cadets were in Morrisons Supermarket on Saturday between 9 am and 1 pm and raised an amazing £332.22 in kind donations. On Sunday, some cadets turning up again to do two days, carried on helping raise the invaluable funds for a great cause. The total cost raised over the two days, 2nd & 3rd March was £639.40.
Cadets from around the country give up many hundreds hours of their time over the year to help in their local community and the wider community.
