Monday August 7th marked a significant occasion for Lt Dave Lindsay.
Major Chris Townson, Company Commander, had the pleasure of presenting Lt Lindsay his Captain rank slide on behalf of our Commandant Col Catherine Harrison, who recently promoted Lt Lindsay to the rank of Capt.
Major Townson said, "Lt Lindsay's dedication is evident. It is with great privilege that I, on behalf of the Commandant, bestow the well-deserved promotion to the rank of Captain."
Capt Lindsay has been an Instructor with the Army Cadets for almost 10 years. He spent 7 of these years as a Detachment Commander in Lancashire ACF. Earlier this year Capt Lindsay joined Greater Manchester ACF from Lancashire ACF to become the Company Training Officer for No 5 (Anzio) Company.
Captain Lindsay said, "I am genuinely thrilled to have been promoted and to be given the opportunity to contribute further. The prospect of engaging in my first annual camp with Greater Manchester ACF later this month is an exciting endeavour I am looking forward too."
