Everyone got up early with a good breakfast in and after a day started to bond with each other as most hadn't met each other before, ready to go to Scotland and go skiing! Then onto the journey which was a great time to bond with all the other cadets and make new friends.

The first few days where the Introduction to skiing in general, learning how to tighten and wear ski boots correctly and how to actually get onto ski's themselves, also learning the most important part of it all keeping warm up in the cold mountains.

The food, all cooked by Sergeant Instructor Zack Feve (who in civilian life is a chef) was great and was catered for everyones wants and needs and had a wide verity options for people to choose from and having different meals every day.

The experience was great, feedback gathered from the cadets was all positive, one cadet said: "I hope to have the chance to go on a trip like this again, I loved it" Each and every cadets' experiences where all positive in every aspect and everyone is hoping to go on a similar trip in the future!

In the last few days of the trip each and every cadet had the opportunity to learn advanced techniques in skiing and the theory behind each skill, parallel skiing, hockey stopping and even getting onto using poles, each skiing instructor was helpful and friendly giving people the motivation to get better and using effective drills to hone in the abilities of the cadets.

A massive thank you to the The Army Cadet Charitable Trust (ACCT) , Reserve Forces and Cadet Association (RFCA) Yorkshire and the Humber, and The Yorkshire Cadet Trust for providing funds for this experience.
