Playing sports in the Army Cadet Force can sometimes lead to other trips, one such trip is the Exercise Kenyan Lion Cub. HQ Cadets Branch host a National Football team who will embark on a trip to Kenya as part of the ACF football team. Cadets selected give help with much-needed repairs in a local school as well as helping to set up a Kenyan Football Academy for the local villagers. They will also have the opportunity to go on a safari and camp wild with the animals. Only 20 cadets from over the UK will travel to Kenya and have this great opportunity, and Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Army Cadets, Sergeant Wabich from Bishop Stortford Detachment, 1 Company and Sergeant Wright from Tring, Detachment 3 Company have been selected to represent Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Army Cadet Force. Whilst half of the cost for the cadets is subsidised by the Army Cadet Charitable Trust (ACCT), Sergeant Wabich and Sergeant Wright have both set up a JustGiving page to raise the funds they need to make the trip:
We wish them both congratulations on being selected and we look forward to hearing all about the trip in the future.
