By Lt Hayley May, County DofE Officer.
Cadets from across Greater Manchester took part in a weekend of training and preparation to get them ready for their practice Silver DofE expedition that’s due to take place over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
The cadets had lessons on topics such as emergency procedures, kit packing, menu planning and team building.
They planned and prepared the routes that they will be walking over Easter and also walked a few routes local to camp to practice walking with their kit and equipment and practice their navigation skills in both the day and night time.
A great time was had by all the cadets and adult volunteers.
Please wish them well for their expedition and look out for the photos in 2 weeks!
