Day 1
The cadets started their day with the county parade. With over 400 cadets on parade, they received their first address by Lt Col Dobb, Deputy Commandant for Derbyshire Army Cadet Force, RSM Macpherson and Maj Sparling, CEO.
Once finished, all companies headed off to a jam packed day of Army Cadet Syllabus training and testing. Lessons in drill, navigation, first aid, skill at arms, communication information systems (CIS) and military knowledge.
Day 2
All companies have been training within camp today with some preparing their kit ready to move out into the field for their field exercises. Cadets have been practising their first aid skills, navigating around camp using a map and getting hands on with the weapons systems!
Senior Cadre headed off to their adventurous training package consisting of coasteering, abseiling and climbing - all on a cliff edge!! The cadets absolutely loved it and were so grateful to have the opportunity to rock climb over the sea! We can't wait to see how the rest of the cadets find it!
Check out our photos from the last couple of days!!
