Annual Camp - Day 5 & 6
Yesterday, B & D Coy deployed out into the field for their tactical field exercise.
Cadets and their adult staff spent the night out in the field, with lessons being taught to cadets surrounding fieldcraft.
Cadets were instructed how to put up their bashas to ensure a dry night under the stars. Harbour drills were taught to ensure they understood how to operate correctly, and fire and movement practice, firing blank rounds at the enemy ensured cadets were prepared for the exercise in the evening.
Finally, once dark, the senior cadets conducted a battle field exercise, firing blank rounds at the enemy, with the use of pyrotechnics to give cover.
The battlefield exercise was brilliant, and the junior cadets were able to watch, gaining experience for their progression.
