SMI Debbie Callaghan, County Media Officer
Day 6 of Annual Camp. Lots of different activities happened for the cadets in various groups. In the afternoon, our Commandant, acted as the Safety Supervisor and Coach for the cadets at the 25-meter Barrack Range. The cadets got to use the GP rifle for live shooting practice. SSI John Turner was in charge of overseeing the shooting range, and is very skilled at his job.
Cadets returned from an overnight Fieldcraft exercise, and another cadre went out. These were the Waterloo Company who are our senior cadets.
The arrival of the Senior Padre Rev Dr Gerard Fieldhouse Byrne is a significant addition to the cadet force volunteer team. With his many years of experience in leading the pastoral team, he is well-equipped to support the cadets and staff as needed. Today, he wasted no time in going out to chat with the cadets and staff. He is committed to ensuring that the cadets have an enjoyable and fulfilling cadet experience.
