A Day with Waterloo Company Senior Cadets
Some days are so packed with activities that one Facebook post won't allow all the pictures to one post. Today, is one of those days. I will post the Adventurous Training (AT) pictures and will follow with a post of the cadets on fieldcraft where the cadets are staying out in bashers for the night.
The day began with high ropes, where cadets went out of their comfort zone to achieve what they wanted too. There was great teamwork from all the cadets helping each other and a lot of laughs.
Our Commandant, Colonel Catherine Harrison, Major Steve Wright, County Training Major, and WO2 Darrell Jones, Training Safety Advisor came to visit and chat with the cadets and staff. Major Wright and SI Rob McCormak joined the cadets on part of the climb, and a great laugh that was to watch.
In the afternoon the cadets took part in canoeing and kayaking. Great to see the cadets having no fear and jumping in the water.
The day was a mixture of weather alternating from sun and rain. Nothing put the cadets off enjoying themselves.
A great day was had by everyone.
After evening meal, I went out onto the area to visit the cadets out on Fieldcraft and sleeping under bashers. All nice and dry up in there. Pictures to follow.
