Also involved in the day's action-packed sporting programme were military veterans, celebrities and former football legends from both Huddersfield Town AFC and Golcar United.
The cadets provided guards of honour for two of the matches: Army Veterans v Celebrities, and Huddersfield Town Legends v Golcar United Legends. The Celebrities eventually beat the Army Vets 4-2, winning the Sgt Gareth Thursby and Pte Tom Wroe Memorial Shield, while the Golcar Legends beat Hudderfield Legends 2-1 to take the Match 4 Heroes Shield.
D Company members supported the event in many ways to make it a fun-filled day for all who attended, including setting up and running the County Assault course for everyone to enjoy.
A massive 'Thank you' was given to D Company from the organisers of the Match 4 Heroes Committee for the excellent contribution the cadets made to the event.
Overall, the event is expected to raise £10,000 for charity to be split between the Armed Forces Bikers charity and the Help 4 homeless veterans, so their support was definitely worthwhile!
