A huge congratulations to Major Jennifer Daine on her recent Investiture into the Venerable Order of St John which took place at an official ceremony at St John Priory Church in London on 14th December 2023.

The Order of St John, formally known as The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, is a Royal Order of Chivalry first constituted as such by Royal Charter from Queen Victoria in 1888. Currently, His Majesty King Charles III is the Sovereign Head of The Order of St John.

Major Daine, a former Merseyside Army Cadet and now Cadet Force Adult Volunteer with Merseyside ACF, has always been known as an inspirational, motivational and creative instructor within the County when it comes to First Aid and has delivered First Aid training to numerous Cadets and CFAVs over the years.

Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Stevens, National First Aid Advisor Cadet Branch - Regional Command told us:

“Major Daine’s Investiture into the Venerable Order of St John is an outstanding achievement and reflects her commitment and passion for First Aid over the past 20 years within her roles as a County First Aid Officer, Regional Advisor and currently as SO2 First Aid for Cadet Branch - Regional Command. A Huge Congratulations”

Apon, hearing the news, Commandant of Merseyside Army Cadet Force, Colonel David Seddon said:

"Absolutely outstanding award for Major Daine and truly well deserved. As Commandant I know the exceptional talent and skills that CFAVs bring to the ACF on a regular basis and Major Daine's award hi lights this. Well Done Major Daine from a very proud Commandant and County."

Congratulations Major Daine from all of us at Merseyside Army Cadet Force.
