Commandants Visit to Stanley Detachment

24 April 2024

  • Black Watch Battalion ACF

On the 23rd April, the Commandant Colonel AAR Halford-MacLeod paid a visit to Stanley Detachment, and it was an event to remember!

During his time at the Detachment, he had the honour of promoting two outstanding cadets to the rank of Lance Corporal

Let’s give a huge round of applause to Cadet Burns and Cadet Dunbar-Moncur for their well-deserved promotions! Their dedication and commitment were recognised by their Cadre Commander during Spring Camp, and now they continue to shine even brighter in their new roles. The Colonel was also impressed by the fact the Detachment is 15 strong and 13 are female.

The population of Stanley is approximately 1401.
