COLONEL GREENLEE BIDS FAREWELL TO YORKSHIRE (N&W) ACF

As the County stands down, there is one person who will not be returning after the Christmas/New Year break. After years of service within the County, Colonel Jim Greenlee has now reached the end of his tenure as Commandant and will be moving on to pastures new.

Col Greenlee has now paid this meaningful tribute to all of our members:

"It is with heavy heart that I am leaving you at the end of my time as Commandant. It has been an absolute privilege to lead and guide you through these years.

I would like to pay tribute to all of the Adult Volunteers who have given up their spare time to help improve the lives of our young people, and also to our cadets who have taken part wholeheartedly in training nights and activities. Their hard work and enthusiasm have gained local, national and international recognition and have been simply outstanding.

I am sure that you will continue to display these excellent attributes to the new Commandant, Col Fred Owen. Welcome to the County, Col Owen, and I wish you the very best for the future."

We echo that wish, Col Greenlee - thank you for your service, and good luck in your future endeavours!
