The competition was set up to remember an ex 1 Company cadet who lost his life in Afghanistan in July 2009 whilst serving with 11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal Regiment, The Royal Logistic Corps.
18 Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) ran stands of Fieldcraft, First Aid, Military Knowledge, Command Tasks, Navigation, CIS, Plan Ex and Target Sprint.
The final part of the competition was the drill & Turnout, where each detachment under the direction of a senior cadet took the cadets through specific drill moves. Each detachment took part in the drill whilst the other cadets watched on.
The winning team was Abbey detachment, who retained the trophy for another year, with Newport detachment close by in 2nd place. All the cadets and CFAV's that took part had a great day and learnt some new skills!
