Ten Cadets stepped up to test their metal to try out for the SW London ACF Cambrian Patrol team on the weekend of the 13 and 14 Apr 24. A busy and demanding 36 hours commenced with the Cadets conducting navigation revision, a 10 Km NAVEX with Comd tasks and tests conducted at checkpoints across the Training Area of Caesars Camp in Aldershot. This undulating training area was once the testing ground for the Parachute Regiment. The Cadet were also tested on their weapon handling skills, a combat estimate model exercise, observation and Fieldcraft. Nine Cadets were selected to go forward which in the next few weekends which will see them conducting training in advanced patrol skills, casualty evacuation, signals, first aid and many other subjects. We wish them all the best for the Cadet Cambrian Patrol competition which takes place in Wales on the 17 to 19 May 24.
