The competition saw the Highlanders team compete against thirteen other cadet teams, from Army Cadet and Combined Cadet Force, units from across Scotland. The teams were put through their paces in a series of stands, ranging First Aid scenarios to Patrol Skills and Shooting.
At the end of the competition the Battalion team named as the Top 3rd Army Cadet Team and also received an overall grading of Silver for their Patrol Skills.
The team was led by Cadet Corporal Saul Anderson, from Inverness Detachment, and included Cadet Sergeant John Bremner (16), from Halkirk Detachment, Lance Bombardier Brodie Leroux (17), from Stromness Detachment, Cadet Corporal Jay Pybus (16), from Elgin Detachment, Cadet Corporal Florence Wareing (14), from Elgin Detachment, Cadet Corporal Finlay Stuart (15), from Elgin Detachment, Cadet Lance Corporal Kuba Stasiak (14), from Elgin Detachment and Cadet Corporal Josh McCully (16), from Dingwall Detachment.
To be part of the team the cadets took part in two training weekends, with one held at Fort George near Ardersier and the second at Tain Ranges, leading up to the competition.
