On Saturday 14th October approximately 45 cadets and adults from No 4 (Korea) Company, supported by Lt Pete Jackson of No 3 (Somme) Company and staff and cadets from Rusholme detachment, attended Old Trafford Football Stadium to partake in a bucket collection in support of the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF).
Despite battling cold and rain, they managed to collect an impressive sum of over £1100, breaking the event's previous record. Their unwavering dedication and the generosity of rugby fans made this achievement possible.
As a thank you for their hard work, the cadets and staff were treated to free tickets to the Super League Grand Final, where the Wigan Warriors emerged as victors, winning 10-2.
The day was a great success.
