It was with great pleasure that Col Mark Honeybell, Commandant Derbyshire Army Cadet Force (ACF), had some of his Adult Instructors and Cadet Force Officers presented with their Cadet Force Medals this month, with C Company's Long Eaton Detachment hosting the ceremony.

Sergeant Instructor Paul Turner was the proud recipient of his medal for 12 years service. While Long Eaton is his current Detachment, he has supported two others and also many county events in Derbyshire. He received his medal from Assistant Commandant Major Gary Newbury in front of his applauding cadets.

For Captain Simon Meyers's dedicated 24 years service, he was awarded a second clasp to his Cadet Force Medal. He has supported Derbyshire ACF in several significant roles including County Training Officer, C Company Area Commander and in his present role as officer in charge of adult recruitment and selection. He said he was pleased to be able to continue to encourage the best for Derbyshire ACF.
