Cadets and CFAVs from Shipley, Seacroft, New Carlton and Thornbury Detachments helped to raise a record amount of money - in fact, it was the most ever raised at a single Rugby League game. Together they raised an amazing £2,342.07!
They carried buckets outside and inside the ground and the fans attending the match generously donated their money to the ABF. Lt Colonel Barney Barnbrook, Regional Director North East and Yorkshire, ABF The Soldiers Charity, contacted the Commandant Colonel Hugh Gell, to thank YNW ACF for the fantastic achievement by the cadets and CFAVs.
