This year's Bexley Civic Parade was well represented by cadets from all eight detachments across 10 Company; local units in Bexley were joined by friends and colleagues from cadets detachments across Bromley from as far afield as Penge and Hayes making the parade over 50 strong in terms of cadet numbers.
It was a very hot day and the march to Christchurch Bexleyheath was one of the most arduous in recent memory, but the cadets and adults served us well. The parade also comprised other local cadets units from Sea and Air as well as local civic dignitaries including the Mayor and Deputy Lord Lieutenant.
The customary speeches were truncated due to the heat at the conclusion of the parade but we were treated to a performance by our very own Corps of Drums to conclude events this year.
