A Weekend of Cadet Excellence:
From Barry Buddon to Wales This weekend marks a significant convergence of military talent and dedication as activities unfold across various locations. At the forefront is the Battalion Weekend Camp at Barry Buddon, with the Cadets taking part in Drill, First Aid, Skill at Arms and Shooting. Over 200 Cadets and Adults took part.
The atmosphere is charged with a sense of purpose and shared determination with a bit fun. This camp serves as a testament to the commitment of our Adult Volunteers take time to help train the Cadets. Simultaneously, our dedicated cadets Pipers and Drummers are immersed in the National Pipes and Drums training weekend.
This specialised training is designed to hone their musical talents, instill discipline, and foster a sense of tradition. As if the weekend couldn't get any more dynamic, our Regimental Band and Pipes and Drums have taken their talents to Wales.
The Theatr Brycheiniog in Brecon is set to witness a memorable Rorkes Drift Concert, where the rich melodies and commanding beats of military music will fill the air, from our talented Cadet Musicians.
These concurrent events highlight the multifaceted nature of Cadet life, where excellence is pursued not only in the field and in camp. but also through music.
