It was an early start for the cadets and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV) of Barton Detachment, as they headed from the bank of the River Humber to Sheffield to take on the Ninja Warrior UK course.

After their safety brief, the team collected a special pair of socks and the all-important Ninja Head band to look the part to take on the challenge.

Split into two areas, one not too dissimilar to the set on the TV show, the other a giant inflatable course, with lots of obstacles to climb, up over and through as well as plenty of slides to enjoy.

But what everyone was really looking forward to was of course the wall! Which the cadets and CFAV enjoyed attempting and conquering.

After a full on 90 minutes, on the course, the cadets were ready for a rest ending the session with lots of very happy smiling faces albeit very red faced and hungry stomachs after all the fun and hardwork.

Staff Sergeant Instructor Katie Bolton – detachment commander said: The trip was a treat for the detachment after working so hard over the last few months. Everyone enjoyed the day and got a lot out of it. We’ll be back again, and I know the detachment are already looking forward to it.
