110 cadets along with 26 adult volunteers, from B Company’s 8 Detachments, attended their first company camp of 2024.

All cadets attended training and testing over the course of the weekend, to allow them to fulfil their Army Cadet Syllabus subject passes… some even had the energy left over for a friendly game of football!

All cadets who attended were involved in a busy schedule, including:

Basic Cadets - Drill, Navigation, First Aid, Expedition Training, Adventurous Training and Air Rifle training.

1 Star Trainers - Drill, Fieldcraft, Navigation, Archery and First Aid.

2 & 3 Star Trainers - Drill, Skill At Arms, Navigation and Military Knowledge.

We were also given a fantastic musical evening courtesy of the Corps of Drums – who gave an excellent example of their musical talent.

415 subject passes were completed over the weekend enabling cadets to move forward in their cadet journey, as well as one cadet receiving their Bronze DofE Award.

As well as subject passes and awards, a Cadet Sergeant received their SCIC Badge as well as a Praiseworthy Certificate for assisting a college friend until Paramedics arrived on scene.

We were also delighted to present two Cadet Colour Sergeants their Master Cadet award, the cadets attended Frimley Park on the days leading up to camp. Both cadets left Frimley Park on Friday afternoon and arrived at B Company Camp Friday evening… a shining example of cadet dedication! Both cadets continued to share their knowledge and leadership skills in training younger cadets over the course of the weekend.
