The skirl of the pipes, the beat of the drum and the sound of marching boots echoed through Aberdeen city centre today as Pipe Bands, serving military personnel, reservists, veterans and cadet forces marched down Union Street to mark Armed Forces Day.It was a splendid sight as the procession of bands made their way down the street, with about 100 members of 2 Highlanders ACF on parade. The bands were accompanied by a convoy of military vehicles, including jeeps, and military trucks, creating a spectacular atmosphere.
