Devon ACF held a familiarisation (Fam) weekend for 13 new potential volunteers, at its County HQ at Pellow House in Exeter, on the weekend of the 28th-29th Jan. The weekend was a chance for the attendees to find out more about the ACF with briefings on the roles and responsibilities of adult instructors, ACF values and standards and command tasks.
At the end of the weekend County Commandant Col Steve Frost presented the volunteers with their Potential Instructor (PI) rank slides. He said "It was a positive course. All of the candidates had a great deal of experience and most importantly the personal qualities needed for the ACF"
Have you ever thought about becoming an Adult Instructor with Devon ACF? Could you spare one to two evenings a week? We are currently looking for new volunteers to help train our cadets across the county. In particular, we would welcome applications from people in the following areas: Paignton, Totnes, Newtown Abbot, Torquay, Ashburton, and Teignmouth. No previous military experience is necessary as we will give you all the training you need
