104 Detachment welcomed Major R Wilmont MBE, Guardsman Dean, and the regimental mascot of the Irish Guards on Wednesday 28th June for their annual inspection. After a tour of the facilities, Major Wilmont inspected the detachment, talking to a number of cadets, and was suitably impressed with their turnout, including those who had only been parading for a number of weeks.
The mascot (full name Tulloch Mor but affectionally known as Seamus) then proceeded to join the cadets in their drill practice before a series of photo opportunities with the cadets. Gdsm Dean also provided an insight into the life of one of the world's most photographed dogs.
The inspecting staff enjoyed their time visiting the unit, and were keen to offer further assistance going forward which is something to look forward to. The cadets? Well the cadets only seem to be talking about meeting Seamus!
