Activities that ACFA Runs and Supports on behalf of the ACF

Activites ACFA Runs

The ACFA runs five cadet-focussed programmes on behalf of the ACF:

  • Bands and Corps of Drums
  • Piping and Drumming
  • The Duke of Edinburgh's Award
  • First Aid
  • National Sports

Each programme is funded by a grant and is run by a Volunteer Chairman. ACFA supplies the resources and liaises with the ACF to deliver these activities.

Activities ACFA Supports

The ACFA supports the following cadet-focussed programmes:

  • Competitive Shooting. ACFA administers the ACF Shooting Committee and provides some grants to cadets undertaking competitive shooting. Cadet shooting is co-ordinated by the Cadet Council for Rifle Shooting (CCRS)
  • Cadet Signals. ACFA administers the Cadet Signal Training Team, who report into the Cadet Training Centre Frimley Park. Further information can be found on the Cadet Signals Website
  • Cadet Centre for Adventurous Training (CCAT). ACFA administers CCAT, who report into the Cadet Training Centre Frimley Park. Further information can be found on the CCAT Website
