Communications & Information Systems (CIS)

One skill that is vital whatever you do in life is the ability to communicate clearly, confidently and effectively, and that is what is at the heart of CIS training in the Army Cadets, using the Army Mercury radio system. Additionally with the expanding world of Cyber, there are opportunities to learn about the Cyberspace within the Army Cadet delivered CyberFirst programme.

There are also further courses and training at higher levels, where you can learn how you can communicate worldwide, obtain an amateur radio licence, or develop networking, cryptography and digital forensics skills within the cyber world.

CIS training counts towards the Army Cadets Syllabus and the DofE Awards.
