Minibus drivers - 5 x roles to support summer cadet exchange (Exercise Maple Leaf)
The Army Cadet Force Association (ACFA) is looking to employ five minibus drivers to support Exercise Maple Leaf, the exchange programme with the Royal Canadian Army Cadets, for six days from 8-14 July 2018 (8th and 14th will comprise of half days to cover the drivers own travel to and from home).
The post holders will transport cadets and escort officers as instructed by the Senior Escort Officer on the exchange.
The exercise will start at Redford Barracks, Edinburgh and then transit to Dingwall Barracks, Inverness on 11 July.
The pay rate is £59.75 per day for 6 working days. Reasonable expenses will be paid, including transport to and from home to duty.
The post holders are required to hold a valid Ministry of Defence Driver’s Permit (FMT 600) and will need category D1 + E.

Cadet Expansion Programme Mentoring Officer - London District Cadet Training Team based at Kingston
The Army Cadet Force Association (ACFA) is seeking a CCF Cadet Expansion Programme Mentoring Officer, working for London District Cadet Training Team based at Kingston.
They will be directly responsible to the Officer Commanding London District Cadet Training Team (LONDIST CTT).
The role requires a highly motivated individual who will focus on the development of administration and training capability in Cadet Expansion Programme schools, and to bring new Contingent Commanders and School Staff Instructors (SSIs) up to the required standard.
The role is a full time two year fixed term contract and will consist of a 48 hour working week – there may be a requirement for some limited evening and weekend work and in this case Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) will be authorised.

An opportunity has arisen to take the first step towards a career in finance with an apprenticeship at the Combined Cadet Force and Army Cadet Force Associations (CCFA/ACFA).
The position is available from September 2018 and will see the post-holder work towards an AAT Level 3 Advanced Accounting qualification.
The apprenticeship, which is based at the HQ in London, is offered in partnership with the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London at the Tottenham Centre.
The successful candidate will complete a 14-week pre-Apprenticeship Course (spending three days a week at college and two days in the CCFA/ACFA Finance Department) which will result in the award of the AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting. This will be followed by a 12-month AAT Level 3 Advanced Accounting qualification (consisting of one day a week at college and four days' practical experience in the Finance Department).
Applicants must have five GCSEs at Grade C or above which must include Maths and English (or are anticipated to achieve these grades this summer). Experience of the cadet forces will be an advantage.
