Sussex Army Cadets
Join the Adventure
We are always looking for new cadets and adult volunteers to join our County. If you are a young person aged 12 or over, there is a detachment near you where new friendships and exciting new challenges await.
We are also seeking adult volunteers to join our team of dedicated instructors. No prior experience is necessary.
The Army Cadet Force is a Voluntary Youth Organisation. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Defence and provides progressive and challenging military, adventurous and community activities for young people between the ages of 12 – 18. Its aim is to inspire young people to achieve success in life, to push them to the limit with a spirit of service, and to develop in them the qualities of a good citizen – whilst having lots of FUN. The training offered helps foster self-confidence, teamwork, leadership, resilience and determination – all of which can be practically applied to everyday life.
