Ypres Company’s Drill Competition celebrated impressive Cadet discipline, teamwork and leadership, with awards for outstanding individual and detachment performance.

Ypres Company Drill Competition Celebrates Cadet Excellence

Ypres Company held its Drill Competition on Saturday, delivering a fantastic display of discipline, teamwork and precision.

Cadets from across the Company took part, demonstrating the focus, commitment and attention to detail that make drill such an important part of the Cadet experience. Throughout the competition, individuals and detachments worked hard to perform at their best while supporting one another.

Recognising Outstanding Performance

The Ypres Company Drill Competition celebrated the achievements of every Cadet involved. However, several exceptional performances stood out on the day.

Each award reflects dedication, high standards and the ability to perform with confidence under pressure. In particular, the Best Instructor award recognises the important role Cadets play in guiding and encouraging their peers.

More Than Marching

Drill is far more than marching in time. It builds confidence, discipline and resilience, while also teaching Cadets how to listen, lead and work together as one team.

Moreover, competitions such as this give Cadets an opportunity to challenge themselves, take pride in their progress and celebrate the success of others. These qualities carry beyond the parade square and help shape capable, confident young people.

Congratulations to all Cadets, instructors and supporters who made the Ypres Company Drill Competition such a success. Your effort, enthusiasm and teamwork were clear for all to see.
