Determination and Resilience Rewarded
Perth Viewlands Detachment Commanders Coin.
Cadet Lance Corporal Graham has been awarded the Detachment Commander’s Coin for September, recognising his outstanding determination, resilience and positive attitude.
The award celebrates the qualities that make a real difference within the Army Cadet Force. Throughout the month, Cadet Lance Corporal Graham has consistently demonstrated the willingness to face challenges and keep moving forward.
Facing Challenges Head-On
When obstacles have appeared, Cadet Lance Corporal Graham has not allowed them to define him. Instead, he has continued to push forward with determination and a positive approach.
Furthermore, his ability to remain focused when faced with difficulties demonstrates a strong level of resilience. Rather than giving up when things become challenging, he has shown the perseverance needed to keep working towards his goals.
These qualities are important both within cadet training and beyond. Building resilience helps young people develop confidence, learn from setbacks and approach future challenges with greater determination.
Setting a Positive Example
Cadet Lance Corporal Graham’s attitude provides a positive example to his fellow cadets.
His perseverance and refusal to give up demonstrate that success is not always about getting everything right first time. Instead, it is about having the determination to learn, adapt and keep going when things become difficult.
The Detachment Commander’s Coin is therefore a fitting recognition of the character and commitment he has demonstrated throughout September.
